I probably won't actually muse about anything medieval - I just like the alliteration.

Anniversary Dinner
Our anniversary was last week. 9 years. Good for us. We went to dinner at The French Room in the Adolphus Hotel. It was super fancy. And I got to wear my Louis Vuitton knock-offs which are awesome. Pictures below.

Migraine Dreams
So, I have a migraine today. Why are you blogging, then, you may ask? Because they are ripping up my apartment parking lot and it is impossible to sleep. So I have cancelled my classes, hopped myself up on painkillers, and I am intending to go to my 3:30 Lit Crit class. We'll see if that actually happens.
Well, I have managed to doze off a few times and one time I had this dream about Christian Bale. I have had a crush on him since I was about 13 years old. I went to his fan website once and Cassie has never let me live it down. So, I had this dream about him. In the dream, we had known each other for a very long time. He had been in my church youth group or something like that. We had kept marginally in touch over the years, but not since he had gone totally "Hollywood." So, in the dream I was visiting his family for some reason since I also knew his sister and his mom. Anyway, we all went to this pie place to get dessert. It was awkward because he was all famous now, and I didn't know what to say to him. When we got to the pie place, though, he starting teasing me for something I had done in junior high, and then we were laughing like old friends. While we were there, we ran into my old friend Katie from high school, but I didn't introduce them. He reminded me that he had majored in police enforcement in college. I did not remember that. I kept thinking, "Should I mention the Terminator outburst to him? Or just leave him alone?" I chose to leave him alone. The dream ended when we all went to church together.
WEIRD.

Lots of Stuff
I have had plenty of things to write about, but haven't for some reason. I suppose I am just going to write about the house this time since that is omnipresent.
Our cabinets were delivered last Wednesday. They are currently sitting in our garage. They are so pretty! They are being installed tomorrow and Wednesday. Yay! Cabinets!
We had an electrician come out and turn the electricity on in the front part of the house, so all of our outlets actually work now! Yay! Lights!
Now we can finally unpack the gameroom boxes and Jonathan already set up the living room with the whole TV/DVR entertainment thing, and it's so much more comfortable being in there.
Plus, the HVAC guy came and installed vents in the kitchen, dining room, and reading room. So, once we start using the air conditioner, we will have circulation! Yay! A/C!
Jonathan already called the countertop people to come out and measure after the cabinets have been installed, so that will happen soon. We might have a kitchen by our anniversary! Yay!

If You Want to Feel Good About Yourself, Go to Seattle
Jon was in Seattle all last week for a conference, and I went up last Friday to spend the weekend with him. On the plane, I sat next to a serviceman who was coming home on leave from Iraq. He'd been on a plane for over 24 hours at that point, and we ended up talking the entire flight. He was so nice! When we landed, they let all of the servicemen off the plane first, and when I got off, he was waiting there to walk me around the airport to find an ATM. Then he waited with me while I got my bag and walked me over to the taxi stand. Such a gentleman!
Then, when I got to my hotel, the check-in guy was super-friendly and nice to me. And the guy at the little cafe where I bought my lunch. Friendly and kind of flirty, but not creepy at all. Just enough to make me feel like I was pretty.
When we were going through the security line as we were catching the flight home, the guy checking boarding passes was extremely good looking, and the line was pretty long. When I got up to the metal detector, I handed over my boarding pass, and I said, "Are you ready for me to walk through?" He took it from me and said, "I've been ready for the last 20 minutes. That's about how long you've been waiting in line." OMG! I just grinned at him. Then grinned as I put my shoes back on. And grinned as I walked to my gate. And grinned as I boarded my plane.
It's nice to be flirted with. Makes a girl feel good. Thanks, Seattle boys!
