Mondrian

I like this outfit. I wasn't sure I would, but I do. I got several comments about how patriotic I looked, but really it was more inspired by Piet Mondrian than by any sense of patriotism. I wish I had chosen my yellow purse or at least little yellow earrings to put in the little burst of yellow. I tried it with my black pumps, but it looked too severe, so I went with pewter.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I actually altered my outfit schedule so I would be sure to wear green today. I opted not to wear the scarf. I think it looks matronly. I like scarves a lot, but I need to learn how to be more creative with them.

Remember when you were a kid and you got pinched if you didn't wear green on Mar 17? I liked that. I have distinct memories of Christopher Finley in the 1st grade pinching me, and it HURT! But I think in that weird kid way it also meant he liked me. To this day I think of Christopher Finley as the standard for hard pinches. As an adult, you can't just go around pinching people, and that's OK with me, but it does take some of the fun out of St. Patrick's Day.

Lavender

I know I said I was done with belts, but this is one of the few that I really like. I'm having trouble putting it together in outfits, though. I like this one! I'm especially proud of it, because I tend to copy outfits I see on other people's blogs or whatever, and I made this one ALL BY MYSELF! And I like it! Quite an accomplishment for me.

Red Shoes

I wore this at a dinner party the other night then to school today with a different cardigan. This is a strapless dress, and you can bet I safety pinned that sucker to that cardigan. No more embarrassing incidents for me! I learned my lesson.
